Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide anesthesia and related care before, during, and after surgical, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor patient status and provide pain management and emergency services, such as airway management.
- Utilize a variety of techniques to administer anesthesia, such as regional, spinal, and sedation.
- Ensure correct administration of anesthetics, adjuvants, and accessory drugs.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all anesthesia interventions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine the condition of patients before, during, and after anesthesia.
Additional Information
- Must have graduated from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the AANA Council of Accreditation.
- Active RN and APRN license in Oklahoma with prescriptive authority required.
- Certifications needed: NBCRNA, ACLS, PALS, and BLS from the AHA.
- The candidate should have successfully passed the national certifying examination within one year of completing didactic and clinical requirements.
