Wellhart is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum tenens position in Ohio. This 60-day assignment, starting on 05/07/2025, requires 24 hour call coverage shifts for 10-14 days per month. The ideal candidate will be proficient in coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG), redo coronary revascularization, and heart valve repair/replacement procedures. This role involves working in a Trauma hospital setting, utilizing Epic EMR. The position also offers the potential for extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform coronary artery bypass surgeries (CABG)
• Conduct redo coronary revascularization procedures
• Carry out heart valve repair and replacement surgeries
• Manage outpatient clinics 
• Conduct hospital rounds and respond to calls
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation
• Provide pre- and post-operative care
• Ensure high-quality patient care and safety
• Adhere to hospital protocols and guidelines

Additional Information:

• Ohio medical license required
• Experience in Trauma centers preferred
• Proficiency in cardiothoracic surgical procedures essential
