Schedule: 7 PM to 7 AM, Monday through Sunday, 10-14 shifts per month (possibly more)
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage day-to-day needs of post-operative cardiovascular patients and general sick patients
- Write daily progress notes
- Round on patients with nursing and surgical teams multiple times per night
- Enter and initiate appropriate orders for patients
- Transfer patients as necessary
- Interpret labs and imaging results and act upon them
- Handle procedures related to DKA, Pneumonia, and Sepsis
- Manage patients in ICU and complete admissions
- Utilize Meditech EHR for patient management and record-keeping
Additional Information:
- Experience in critical care medicine required
- Comfort with Level III Trauma center responsibilities essential
- Strong skills in managing post-operative cardiovascular patients
- Ability to handle procedures related to DKA, Pneumonia, and Sepsis
- Flexibility to work night shifts and potentially more than 14 shifts per month
