Wellhart is seeking a Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant for a locum tenens position in Virginia. This 15-day assignment, starting May 4, 2025, requires coverage for both day and night shifts in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in critical care procedures, including central lines, arterial lines, and intubations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a hospital environment, utilizing Meditech EHR. The position may also extend beyond the initial 15-day period for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide critical care coverage for both day and night shifts
• Perform critical care procedures, including central lines, arterial lines, and intubations
• Manage and treat critically ill patients
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in the ICU
• Utilize Meditech EHR for patient documentation
• Monitor and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results
• Develop and implement patient care plans
• Ensure high-quality patient care and safety
• Adhere to hospital protocols and guidelines

Additional Information:

• Virginia Physician Assistant license required
• Critical Care certification preferred
• Proficiency in critical care procedures essential
• Flexibility to work both day and night shifts
