We are seeking a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Iowa. This opportunity offers flexible 24-hour or 12-hour shifts, starting from 05/12/2025, for an initial 20-day coverage period. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a hospital setting, interpreting EKGs, and collaborating with various specialists including Radiologists, Cardiologists, Neurologists, and Psychiatrists. There is also potential for assignment extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients in a hospital setting
• Interpret EKGs and manage various acute and chronic conditions
• Collaborate with specialist consultants, including Radiologists, Cardiologists, Neurologists, and Psychiatrists
• Efficiently manage patient flow in the Emergency Department
• Adapt to varying patient volumes and acuity levels
• Participate in the admission process for inpatients and observation patients
• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice in Iowa
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine required
• Comfortable working in a hospital environment with varying patient admission rates
