Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant specializing in General Surgery for a locum tenens position in Iowa. This 42-day assignment begins on 07/07/2025, and offers a varied schedule of 14 shifts per 28-day period, with 24-hour coverage (12 hours on-site, 12 hours on call). The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a wide range of surgical procedures, including laparoscopic, open, and robotic surgeries, as well as endoscopy and trauma call coverage. This role involves both clinical and surgical responsibilities, including clinic consults, follow-ups, outreach, and various surgical procedures. The position is based at a hospital setting with potential teaching opportunities and uses the Epic electronic health record system. There is a possibility for extension beyond the initial assignment.
