 We are seeking three skilled Hospitalist Physicians for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Illinois. This opportunity offers 30 days of coverage with 12-hour day shifts from 7 am to 7 pm starting 08/04/2025. The assignment requires experience in inner city medicine, ability to perform intubations and chest tubes, and chest pain accreditation. The role involves managing 6-10 admissions and 4-8 discharges daily, working alongside advanced practice providers in an inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent bedside manner, be a team player, and be comfortable with the credentialing process. This position offers competitive compensation and may have potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care for adult patients

• Manage daily patient load of 6-10 admissions and 4-8 discharges

• Perform procedures including intubations and chest tube insertions

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including advanced practice providers

• Coordinate patient care with specialty services such as GI, Cardiology, and Orthopedics

• Demonstrate excellent bedside manner and communication skills

• Utilize Medhost electronic health record system

• Adapt to the facility's protocols and procedures

• Maintain a high standard of patient care and safety

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice in Illinois

• Chest pain accreditation required
