Your new locum job is waiting with Wellhart! Our client is looking for a physician specializing in internal medicine to begin coverage in California. This full-time opportunity begins on July 28, 2025, and spans 120 days with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in primary care settings, demonstrating excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. You'll be responsible for consulting with patients, determining appropriate treatments, ordering and monitoring tests, managing medications, and working collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive primary care services in an internal medicine setting 

• Consult with patients to determine appropriate courses of treatment 

• Recommend and order diagnostic tests to assess illnesses or diagnose conditions 

• Monitor laboratory results, medication adherence, and potential medication toxicities

• Prescribe and administer treatments, medications, and therapies 

• Work effectively within a team-oriented healthcare environment 

• Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues
