Physician - Interventional Cardiologist

Job Description

We are seeking a Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Idaho. This role begins Oct 1, 2025, and involves hospital call coverage with shifts from 7 am to 7 am. The cardiologist will engage in a range of duties including interventional procedures and emergency response for STEMI cases. Flexibility to work 2 weeks per month is essential, accommodating up to 14 shifts in some months.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform interventional cardiology procedures as required, including:
• Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
• Use of balloon pumps
• Placement of coronary stents
• Intravascular ultrasound (IVU) and fractional flow reserve (FFR) assessments
• Respond to STEMI activations, with volumes varying significantly
• Ensure high standards of patient care and safety

Additional Information

• Must be Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
• Active Idaho medical license or IMLC qualification required
• Clean malpractice history and background check are highly preferred
• Local candidates preferred as no provision for flights
• COVID vaccination confirmation required at the time of credentialing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
