We are seeking a skilled Interventional Cardiologist for a locum tenens position at a Multi-Specialty Clinic in Virginia. This 27-day assignment starts on 07/07/2025, and involves weekend coverage from Friday at 5 PM to Monday at 7 AM. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various cardiac procedures, including heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), coronary angioplasty, balloon angioplasties, carotid artery stenting, coronary angiograms, embolic protection, and atherectomy. The physician will be responsible for providing high-quality cardiac care, performing interventional procedures, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role offers a 1:5 call ratio and the possibility of assignment extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform various cardiac interventional procedures, including heart catheterization, PCI, and angioplasties 

• Conduct patient consultations and develop appropriate treatment plans 

• Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care 

• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled (1:5 ratio) 

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records 

• Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols 

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as required

Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice in Virginia 

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred 

• Comfortable working in a multi-specialty clinic setting
