Wellhart is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Michigan. This 20-day assignment begins on 06/23/2025, with potential for extension. The schedule consists of 24-hour call shifts from 7 AM to 7 AM, including weekends. The physician will work in a facility with a NICU and ED. Key responsibilities include managing high-risk pregnancies, performing specialized ultrasounds and fetal echocardiograms, and treating conditions such as pre-eclampsia, multiple pregnancies, growth restriction, pre-term labor, and hypertension. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with a wide range of MFM procedures and utilizing the Epic electronic health record system.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide specialized care for high-risk pregnancies 

• Perform and interpret specialized ultrasounds and fetal echocardiograms 

• Manage cases of pre-eclampsia, multiple pregnancies, and fetal growth restriction 

• Treat and monitor patients with pre-term labor and pregnancy-related hypertension 

• Collaborate with NICU and ED teams for comprehensive patient care 

• Conduct consultations and develop treatment plans for complex maternal-fetal cases 

• Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends 

• Utilize Epic EHR for accurate and timely documentation 

Additional Information: 

• Experience in NICU and ED settings preferred 

• Proficiency in specialized ultrasound techniques and fetal echocardiography required 

• Comfort with managing a wide range of high-risk pregnancy conditions  

• Michigan state medical license required 

• Ability to work 24-hour call shifts and weekends 

• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare team
