This 9-day assignment starts on 06/02/2025, and involves 24-hour call coverage from 7 AM to 7 AM every third weekend of the month (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide on-call neurosurgical coverage for the trauma center
• Manage both brain and spine trauma cases
• Perform emergency neurosurgical procedures as needed
• Conduct hospital rounds on current neurosurgical patients
• Evaluate and treat patients presenting to the ER with neurological emergencies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the trauma center
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Epic system
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as required
• Ensure timely response to emergency calls and consultations
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in Arkansas
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
• Strong clinical skills in both cranial and spinal neurosurgery
• Ability to work independently and make critical decisions in high-pressure situations
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity trauma center environment
