Job Description
Wellhart is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon for a locum tenens position in New Jersey. This 24-day assignment, starting 06/16/2025, requires coverage at two locations, including 24/7 in-house and on-call shifts, as well as intermittent coverage through September. The ideal candidate will be proficient in general orthopedic trauma care, total hip replacement, and hip joint revision/repair for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients. This role offers an opportunity to work in a trauma center hospital setting, utilizing Cerner EMR.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide 24/7 orthopedic coverage at two locations
- Perform general orthopedic trauma care for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients
- Conduct total hip replacements and hip joint revisions or repairs
- Manage both surgical and non-surgical orthopedic cases
- Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage
- Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Ensure high-quality patient care and safety
- Adhere to hospital protocols and guidelines
Additional Information:
- New Jersey medical license required
