Schedule:
- General Mental Health Clinic: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm
- Inpatient Psychiatry: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
- Specialty Clinics: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm
- Weekend inpatient coverage: Saturday and Sunday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide care in general outpatient clinic, inpatient psychiatry, and specialty clinics
- Manage patients in Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center (PRRC), Mental Health Intensive Case Management (MHICM), PTSD clinic, and Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs
- Conduct direct patient care (estimated 95% of time)
- Inpatient duties: patient admissions, diagnoses, treatment plans, management, and discharges
- Outpatient duties: new patient referrals, severely mentally ill patients, e-consults, post-discharge follow-ups
- Clinic and residential care: examine patients, interpret reports, and operate clinics
- Handle approximately 6 to 6.5 patient bookable hours per day
- Utilize CPRS EMR for patient management and record-keeping
- Collaborate with VA staff and other healthcare professionals
Additional Information:
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care required
- Comfort with managing a diverse range of psychiatric conditions
- Ability to work in various clinical settings (general, specialty, residential)
- Flexibility to cover weekend inpatient shifts as needed
- Strong patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning skills
