 We are seeking a licensed Physician Assistant specializing in Vascular Surgery for a 78-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in South Carolina. Starting 08/11/2025, this role requires expertise in vein harvesting, CV/CT surgical first assist, and operating room procedures. The PA will provide 24-hour call coverage as a full-time equivalent (FTE). Key responsibilities include assisting in surgery, retrieving vascular tissues for use as bypass conduits, and first assisting in CABG and valve replacement procedures. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a hospital acute care setting, utilizing the Epic electronic health record system.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist in vascular and cardiothoracic surgeries

• Perform vein harvesting for bypass procedures

• Serve as first assistant in CABG and valve replacement surgeries

• Retrieve vascular tissues for use as bypass conduits

• Provide operating room assistance in various surgical procedures

• Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for vascular surgery patients

• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals

• Communicate effectively with patients and their families

• Participate in rounds and patient assessments

• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and best practices in vascular surgery

• Adapt to the specific needs of the hospital's surgical department

• Provide 24-hour call coverage as needed
