Wellhart is seeking a Pediatric Surgeon for a locum tenens position in Idaho. This 60-day assignment begins on June 2, 2025, at a hospital setting. The schedule is to be determined. The physician will be responsible for providing specialized surgical care to pediatric patients, performing a wide range of procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in pediatric surgery and be comfortable working in a hospital environment using the Meditech EHR system.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform a wide range of pediatric surgical procedures
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop surgical plans
• Provide post-operative care and follow-up
• Collaborate with pediatricians, anesthesiologists, and other specialists
• Manage complex pediatric surgical cases
• Participate in rounds and patient consultations
• Ensure proper documentation using Meditech EHR system
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Adhere to hospital protocols and best practices in pediatric surgery
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed
• Stay current with advancements in pediatric surgical techniques and technologies
• Provide on-call coverage as required

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in Idaho
• Board certification in Pediatric Surgery required
• Proficiency in Meditech EHR system preferred
• Strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities essential
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
