Job Description

We are seeking a skilled OB/GYN physician for a locum tenens position at a Clinic in Texas. This 36-day assignment starts on 05/02/2025, and involves 24-hour on-call coverage from Friday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling unassigned OB and GYN calls, including ER calls. This role also requires the ability to work independently, make critical decisions, and provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care 

• Handle unassigned OB and GYN calls, including ER calls 

• Manage approximately 7 OB and 16 GYN phone calls per week 

• Respond to an average of 3 in-person calls for both OB and GYN cases per week 

• Perform necessary procedures and surgeries as required 

• Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care 

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Meditech EHR system 

• Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols 

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as required

Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in Texas 

• Experience with Meditech EHR system preferred 

• Comfortable working independently and making critical decisions 

• Strong clinical skills and ability to manage diverse OB/GYN cases 

• Flexibility to work extended on-call hours 

• Possibility of assignment extension
