Wellhart is seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position in Florida. This 24-day assignment, starting on 05/26/2025, requires coverage for 12-hour shifts, primarily from 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with some 8-hour shifts available. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling all types of emergency room cases in a hospital setting. This role also offers the potential for extension.

Provider Type Needed: Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Medicine 

Schedule: Primarily 12-hour shifts (7a-7p and 7p-7a), some 8-hour shifts available, 5-6 shifts per month

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages and conditions
• Perform patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results
• Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in the ER
• Manage critical and non-critical patients efficiently
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning
• Adapt to fast-paced, high-stress emergency situations

Additional Information:

• Florida NP license required
• Emergency Medicine certification preferred
