Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CRNA for a locum tenens position at a Trauma Center in Iowa. This 120-day assignment begins on 05/26/2025, and offers a flexible schedule with opportunities for extension. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling all trauma cases, including hearts, spines, general surgery, occasional head trauma, and OB. Proficiency in epidural administration is also required. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a CRNA looking for a challenging and rewarding locum tenens experience while working with other CRNAs and physicians.


Job Details: 

Location: Iowa 

Facility Type: Hospital (Trauma Center) 

Start Date: 05/26/2025 

LOA: 120 days 

Provider Type Needed: CRNA 

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7a - 3:30p (8-hour shifts)


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Provide anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures
  • Handle all trauma cases
  • Perform epidural procedures
  • Manage anesthesia for cardiac, spine, general surgery, and OB cases
  • Collaborate with physicians and other CRNAs
  • Utilize electronic medical record systems (Cerner Powerchart, transitioning to Epic)
  • Stabilize critically ill patients before transfer when necessary


Additional Information:


  • Must be licensed in Iowa
  • Comfortable with 8-hour shifts
  • Possibility of extension
