Wellhart is seeking a Pathologist for a locum job in Michigan. This 10-day opportunity is scheduled for June 2025, with potential for 2-3 weeks of work. The position involves Monday through Friday shifts from 8am to 5pm at a hospital. The pathologist will be responsible for a wide range of anatomic pathology procedures, including surgical pathology, GI and GU pathology, neuropathology, dermatopathology, hematopathology, and cytology. Key duties include grossing specimens, performing frozen sections, and handling various laboratory procedures.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform anatomic pathology procedures across various specialties 

• Gross specimens and cut frozen sections using Cryostat 

• Handle laboratory procedures in hematology, microbiology, chemistry/serology, and blood bank 

• Manage GI biopsies, breast biopsies, and neuropathology cases 

• Process and interpret an average of 30 to 40 cases daily, including biopsies and routine surgical specimens 

• Collaborate with other pathologists and laboratory staff 

• Utilize Allscripts and NovoPath systems for documentation and reporting 

• Maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency in diagnostic work
