Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide inpatient and outpatient clinic coverage for cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients
• Serve as first assist during surgical procedures
• Conduct pre-operative evaluations and post-operative follow-ups
• Manage patient care plans in collaboration with surgeons
• Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret test results
• Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice
• Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and post-operative care
• Utilize eClinicalWorks and Meditech EHR for efficient workflow management
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and procedures
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care coordination
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Provide on-call coverage during assigned weekends
