We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery for an 84-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in Idaho. The assignment begins on 07/01/2025, requiring up to 2 weeks per month of CV surgery call coverage, supporting Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular surgery programs. The role involves assisting in scheduled OR cases, inpatient rounding (including weekends), and emergency calls. The ideal candidate should be proficient in vein harvesting for surgery and comfortable with a diverse range of procedures. There is also potential for assignment extension.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide CV surgery call coverage for Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular surgery programs 

• Assist in scheduled OR cases and perform vein harvesting for surgeries 

• Conduct inpatient rounding, including weekends 

• Respond to emergency call situations as needed 

• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals 

• Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care 

• Utilize Meditech EHR system for patient documentation 

• Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and execution

Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Idaho 

• Experience in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery required 

• Comfortable with a diverse range of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures 

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends 

• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential 

• Potential for assignment extension
