Job Description

 Wellhart is seeking a Gastroenterologist physician for an 80-day locum tenens assignment in Colorado. The assignment begins on November 3rd, with ongoing dates starting in January 2026. This role involves working 7:30a-5p hourly/clinic shifts, night call, and 24-hour call, including weekends. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with scoping and general GI procedures, including EGD, colonoscopy, manometry, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and 24-hour pH probe. Responsibilities include patient follow-up, signing all orders and notes, and utilizing the Epic EMR system. ERCP is not performed at the facility. This position offers approximately 14 shifts per month and the potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform scoping procedures, including EGD and colonoscopy

• Conduct manometry, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and 24-hour pH probe tests

• Provide patient care during clinic hours and on-call shifts

• Follow up with patients regarding lab results and other orders

• Sign all orders and notes in a timely manner

• Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

• Ensure high-quality patient care and communication

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice in Colorado

• Approximately 14 shifts per month
