This opportunity begins on June 2, 2025, and spans 30 days with potential for extension. The position involves working 7 AM to 5 PM shifts plus on-call hours, with a requirement to work weekends at least once per month. The ideal candidate must be proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting and radial harvest, as well as a wide range of cardiothoracic surgery duties.

Provider Type Needed: Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic Surgery

Schedule: 7 AM - 5 PM plus on-call hours, weekends at least once per month

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform pre-operative physical examinations 

• Conduct suture removal and wound care 

• Diagnose and treat illnesses related to cardiothoracic conditions 

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Assist in cardiothoracic surgeries 

• Write prescriptions and manage medications 

• Coordinate patient care with the healthcare team 

• Perform patient rounding 

• Insert chest tubes as needed

• Conduct endoscopic vein harvesting and radial harvest

• Perform endoscopic retrieval procedures

• Manage on-call responsibilities and respond to emergencies

Additional Information: 

• Pennsylvania Physician Assistant license required for this position

• Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting and radial harvest is essential 

• Must be comfortable with occasional weekday on-call coverage
