Your next locum job awaits in Iowa! Our client is looking for a radiologist to begin coverage in early June. This full-time opportunity spans 60 days with potential for extension. Hours include 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM shifts from Mondays - Fridays, with 20 shifts per month. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interpreting a wide range of imaging studies, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, mammograms, and ultrasounds, as well as performing specialized procedures such as swallow studies, barium enemas, myelograms, and lumbar punctures.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Analyze and interpret various medical images including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, mammograms, and ultrasounds
• Perform specialized procedures such as swallow studies, barium enemas, myelograms, and lumbar punctures
• Diagnose and monitor diseases using medical imaging techniques
• Communicate findings effectively to other healthcare professionals
• Perform interventional procedures using imaging guidance
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Choose appropriate imaging techniques based on patient needs and clinical indications
• Ensure quality control and adherence to safety protocols in imaging procedures
• Provide consultation to referring physicians regarding imaging studies and results
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in radiological techniques and technologies
