Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans
• Administer and monitor general and regional anesthesia
• Manage patient care throughout surgical procedures
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during the perioperative period
• Perform various anesthesia techniques including general anesthesia and nerve blocks
• Monitor and maintain patient vital signs during procedures
• Respond to emergency situations as needed
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Epic EMR system
• Adhere to all hospital policies and anesthesia department protocols
• Stay current with the latest anesthesia techniques and practices
Additional Information:
• Connecticut state license required
• Comfortable with a wide range of surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, GI, robotics, OB, urology, and podiatry
• Experience with minimal trauma cases preferred
• Ability to adapt to existing workflow and collaborate with staff
• Note: No cardiac, neurosurgery, or transplant cases involved
