 Wellhart is seeking an Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Florida. This 48-day assignment, starting from 06/02/2025, offers weekday shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM, with additional night and weekend call coverage. The anesthesiologist will be responsible for managing all general surgery cases, working independently on their own cases. Duties include pre-operative assessments, administering anesthesia, monitoring patients during procedures, and providing post-operative care. This role requires flexibility for unrestricted call during nights and weekends, with weekday night call from 7 PM to 11 PM and 24-hour weekend call. Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and develop anesthesia plans

• Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures

• Manage all types of general surgery cases independently

• Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management

• Respond to emergencies and manage complications

• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals

• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Medaxion system

• Adhere to all hospital policies and anesthesia department protocols

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

• Stay current with the latest anesthesia techniques and practices
