Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide anesthesia care for adult patients undergoing general surgical and neurosurgical procedures
• Administer and monitor general and spinal anesthesia
• Manage patient ventilation during surgical procedures
• Perform local infiltration techniques as required
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams in a medical direction model
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans
• Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia delivery as needed
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Epic EMR system
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Stay current with the latest anesthesia techniques and practices
Additional Information:
• Maine state license required
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment preferred
• Comfortable working in a Trauma Center
• Ability to adapt to existing workflow and collaborate with dedicated CRNA teams
• Note: CRNAs will not be required to perform open heart surgeries, regional anesthesia, or central lines
