Job Description

 We are seeking a licensed Vascular/Interventional Radiologist for a 100-day locum tenens assignment at a healthcare facility in Pennsylvania. Starting 06/06/2025, this role requires expertise in a wide range of interventional and diagnostic radiology procedures. The physician will work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with call coverage. Key responsibilities include performing and interpreting various imaging studies, conducting interventional procedures, and managing a diverse caseload of vascular and general radiology cases. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with both interventional (85%) and diagnostic (15%) radiology, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and various interventional techniques. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a comprehensive radiology environment using the Cerner electronic health record system.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform and interpret CT scans, including neuro and angiography

• Conduct biopsies, aspirations, and drainage procedures

• Insert percutaneous tubes and perform dilations/stenting

• Interpret plain films and act as a Chest B reader

• Perform bone density scans and general fluoroscopy

• Conduct barium GI fluoroscopy and needle localizations

• Perform and interpret MRI studies, including neuro, joints, and MRA

• Carry out percutaneous needle biopsies and extractions

• Manage abscess drainage and pain management procedures

• Perform hysterosalpingograms, thoracentesis, and paracentesis

• Conduct myelography and vertebroplasty procedures

• Perform joint and epidural injections

• Conduct and interpret various ultrasound studies

• Perform vascular interventional procedures, including angiography

• Manage therapeutic interventions such as angioplasty and stenting

• Insert PICCs and IVC filters

• Perform TIPS procedures

• Utilize Cerner electronic health record system for documentation

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in patient care

• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams

• Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and best practices

• Adapt to the specific needs of the healthcare facility's radiology department
