We are seeking a licensed Cardiac Anesthesiologist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in Texas. Starting 06/16/2025, this role requires expertise in providing anesthesia for a variety of cardiac and vascular procedures. The physician will work Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm, with additional night call coverage from 7pm to 7am. Key responsibilities include managing anesthesia for cases in the Cath Lab, vascular surgeries, CABGs, valve procedures, and aneurysm repairs. TEE certification is essential for this position. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling approximately 25 cases and using the Meditech EHR system. This assignment offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic cardiac surgery environment with potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide anesthesia services for cardiac and vascular procedures
• Manage anesthesia in the Cath Lab
• Administer anesthesia for CABG surgeries
• Handle anesthesia for valve procedures and aneurysm repairs
• Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
• Conduct pre-operative assessments for cardiac patients
• Develop and implement anesthesia plans for high-risk cardiac cases
• Monitor patients during procedures and manage post-operative care
• Utilize Meditech EHR for documentation and patient management
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and best practices in cardiac anesthesia
• Participate in night call coverage as scheduled
• Stay updated on the latest techniques in cardiac anesthesiology
• Adapt to the specific needs of a high-volume cardiac surgery program
