 Wellhart is seeking a licensed Urology Surgeon for a 72-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in South Carolina. Starting 06/06/2025, this role requires expertise in a wide range of urological procedures including ureteroscopy, laparoscopic surgeries, general urology, trauma care, nephrectomy, partial nephrectomies with intraoperative ultrasound, and incontinence procedures. The physician will provide 24-hour call coverage from 6am to 6am, focusing on ED and inpatient care in a Trauma center. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment using the Epic electronic health record system, with potential for extension beyond the initial 72 days.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform ureteroscopy procedures

• Conduct laparoscopic urological surgeries

• Provide general urology care and consultations

• Manage urological trauma cases

• Perform nephrectomies and partial nephrectomies

• Utilize intraoperative ultrasound during partial nephrectomies

• Carry out incontinence procedures

• Respond to ED consultations for urological emergencies

• Manage inpatient urological care

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a trauma center setting

• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation

• Ensure adherence to urological best practices and safety protocols

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

• Adapt to varying case complexity and potential emergency situations

• Stay updated on the latest urological surgical techniques and protocols
