Wellhart is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Texas. This opportunity involves covering 12-hour shifts (7p-7a, 7a-7p) at a Trauma Center with 5 ER beds. The initial assignment is for 6 days, starting May 31, 2025, with ongoing opportunities for 2-4 shifts per month. The physician will work alongside a team of Family Practice physicians, a Pediatrician, and Family Nurse Practitioners. Responsibilities include managing a diverse patient population, with approximately 20% trauma cases, and collaborating with clinic-based specialists. Familiarity with the T-System EMR is preferred.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide emergency medical care in a Trauma Center

• Utilize T-System EMR for patient documentation
• Coordinate patient care and referrals with various medical centers as needed
• Adapt to the unique challenges of a rural emergency department setting
• Maintain high standards of emergency medical care and patient safety
Additional Information:
• Valid Texas medical license required
• Experience in trauma care and emergency medicine preferred
