Wellhart is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position at a multi-specialty clinic in Texas. This ongoing assignment starts on 06/30/2025, with a flexible schedule of 6-8 shifts per month, consisting of 12-hour (7p-7a or 7a-7p) or 24-hour (7a-7a) shifts. The facility is a Trauma Center with ER beds and robust specialist coverage. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a trauma setting and collaborating with various specialists, including hospitalists, OB, and telemedicine support. The position requires proficiency in using the Medhost electronic health record system and the ability to manage a diverse range of emergency cases.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide emergency medical care in a Trauma Center
• Manage a variety of emergency cases and trauma patients
• Collaborate with on-site specialists and telemedicine support services
• Utilize the Medhost electronic health record system
• Coordinate patient care with hospitalist program and OB services
• Facilitate appropriate patient transfers to referral centers when necessary
• Maintain high standards of patient care and safety
• Adhere to all facility and department policies and procedures
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
