Job Description

A Hospital in North Carolina is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens assignment starting August 18, 2025, for 60 days. The schedule is flexible, with options for 5x8s, 4x10s, or 3x12s, typically from 7 AM to 3 PM/5 PM/7 PM. The CRNA will be required to work one Saturday or Sunday per month as a normal daytime shift, with no call shift. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced CRNA who is comfortable with Endoscopy, General Surgery, Plastics, Vascular, Spine, and Neurosurgery. Provider Type Needed: CRNA (Anesthesiology)

Schedule: 

- Option for 5x8s, 4x10s, or 3x12s

- Shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM/5 PM/7 PM

- One weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) per month required


Job Responsibilities and Duties:

- Provide anesthesia care for various surgical procedures, including:

 • Endoscopy

 • General Surgery

 • Plastics

 • Vascular

 • Neurosurgery and Orthopedic Spine

 • Liver Cases

 • Robotics

 • Orthopedics

 • Trauma and Ortho Trauma

- Collaborate with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals

- Utilize Epic EMR for patient management and record-keeping

- Ensure high-quality anesthesia care for patients


Additional Information:

- Experience in a wide range of surgical anesthesia required

- Comfort with complex cases such as spine surgeries and liver cases

- Familiarity with robotic surgery anesthesia preferred

- Flexibility to work different shift patterns

- Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills


Important Note: The CRNA will NOT be responsible for performing:

- Spinals

- Epidurals

- Nerve Blocks

- Upper/Lower Blocks

- Fiber Optics

(These procedures will be conducted by the MDA)
