Wellhart's Humanitarian Aid Staffing Management Group

Locum Tenens Staffing to Serve Others

Wellhart’s ability to deploy the right providers right away is made possible by our strong relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare providers. Our dedicated representatives have built a network of high quality providers who remain prepared at all times to aid in humanitarian efforts –  regardless of how immediate the need.

Past Projects:

Unaccompanied Minors – US/Mexico Project

Acting as a subcontractor to the Federal Government in 2021, Wellhart was given 72 hours to deploy 120 healthcare providers on the ground of an emergency intake center. Wellhart successfully delivered the nurse practitioners and physicians needed to provide 24-7 coverage, treating thousands of unaccompanied children who had crossed the US/Mexican border.

Afghan Refugee Project

Wellhart’s expansive network and strong relationships with healthcare providers led to our ability to deliver 120 providers to staff an immediate client need in 2021. From October 2021 to March 2022, Wellhart continually staffed the clients’ openings across multiple locations with several varied provider types and specialties to treat Afghan refugees before their resettlement into their new communities.

Providers in High Demand:

  • Pediatricians
  • Pediatric Psychiatrists
  • Dentist specializing in Adult and Pediatrics
  • Physicians specializing in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, or OB/GYN
  • Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants specializing in Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Pediatrics

What It takes To Be a Locum in Humanitarian Aid

Locum tenens humanitarian work isn’t for everyone. There are some characteristics of a healthcare provider that make them more suited for this line of work: a go-with-the-flow attitude, a willingness to learn about and embrace other cultures, and speaking multiple languages, to name a few.
