Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) specializing in Anesthesiology for a 30-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in Iowa. The assignment begins on 09/01/2025, with a flexible schedule of 4-8 shifts per month. The CRNA will primarily work on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with surgery days varying. Shifts typically run from 7 AM to 4 PM, with clinic hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. The ideal candidate should be comfortable performing anesthesia for various cosmetic surgeries, including breast augmentation, breast reduction, facelifts, abdominoplasty, and blepharoplasty. This position offers a chance for extension and does not require on-call duties.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide anesthesia services for a variety of cosmetic surgical procedures

• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care

• Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans

• Monitor patients during procedures and manage post-operative care

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using the Cerner system

• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures

• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and assignment duration

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice in Iowa

• Experience with cosmetic surgeries is preferred

• Familiarity with Cerner EMR system is beneficial
