Job Description

Wellhart is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens position in Michigan. This 60-day assignment begins on June 2, 2025. The CRNA will work independently with administrative oversight, covering 7am-3:30pm shifts Monday through Friday, with night call from 3:30pm-7am, and 24-hour weekend call. Responsibilities include managing general surgical cases for adults and pediatrics, performing various anesthesia procedures, and providing ventilation management. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with trauma care and proficient in Epic EMR system. This opportunity offers the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment.

Facility Type: Hospital (Level IV Trauma) 

Start Date: 06/02/2025

LOA: 60 days (with potential for extension) 

Provider Type Needed: CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-3:30pm, night call 3:30pm-7am, 24-hour weekend call


Job Responsibilities and Duties:


·        Provide anesthesia care for general surgical cases for both adult and pediatric patients

·        Perform minor nerve blocks, IV regional anesthesia, and plexus anesthesia

·        Administer spinal and regional anesthesia as needed

·        Manage ventilation (until patient transfer to higher level of care)

·        Work independently with administrative oversight

·        Handle trauma cases

·        Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation and care management

·        Participate in night call and weekend call rotations

·        Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

·        Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols


Additional Information:


·        Must be licensed to practice in Michigan

·        Comfortable working in a trauma care environment

·        Proficient in Epic EMR system

·        Ability to adapt to the facility's specific protocols and procedures
