Job Description

 We are seeking a licensed CRNA for a 25-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in Michigan. Starting June 30, 2025, this role requires expertise in providing anesthesia for a variety of procedures including endoscopy, general surgery, OB/GYN, orthopedics, pain management, urology, and vascular surgery. The CRNA will work 8-5 shifts with beeper call, primarily in an outpatient setting (70%) with some inpatient care (30%). The assignment is structured in blocks of 4-5 days, with the option to work 10-hour or 8-hour shifts. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a team model under supervising MDAs, using Epic and Dragon dictation systems, with potential for extension beyond the initial 25 days.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Administer anesthesia for endoscopic procedures

• Provide anesthesia care for general surgical cases

• Manage anesthesia for OB/GYN surgeries and procedures

• Administer anesthesia for orthopedic surgeries

• Assist in pain management procedures

• Provide anesthesia for urological surgeries

• Manage anesthesia for vascular procedures

• Utilize Epic electronic health record system and Dragon dictation for documentation

• Collaborate with supervising MDAs and other healthcare professionals

• Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and develop anesthesia plans

• Monitor patients during procedures and manage post-anesthesia care

• Ensure adherence to best practices in anesthesia care

• Adapt to both outpatient and inpatient anesthesia needs

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

• Respond to beeper calls as needed

• Stay updated on the latest techniques in anesthesia administration


Additional Information:

• Experience in a wide range of surgical specialties is essential
