Job Description

Wellhart is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens position in Texas. This 96-day assignment begins on June 2, 2025, at a hospital. The CRNA will work 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (7am-5pm), Monday through Friday with a rotating day off and a 40-hour weekly guarantee. Responsibilities include providing anesthesia care for a variety of surgical cases, including general, orthopedic, endoscopic/gastric, urological, vascular, neurosurgery/spine, gynecological, and ENT procedures. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with diverse surgical cases, though experience with blocks, spinals, or epidurals is not required.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Provide anesthesia care for a wide range of surgical procedures
  • Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and develop anesthesia care plans
  • Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgical cases
  • Manage patient care in post-anesthesia recovery
  • Collaborate with surgical teams across multiple specialties
  • Ensure proper documentation using Epic electronic medical record system
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Adhere to hospital protocols and best practices in anesthesiology
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed
  • Maintain flexibility to work with various surgical specialties
  • Stay current with advancements in anesthesia techniques and technologies


Additional Information:


  • Must be licensed to practice as a CRNA in Texas
  • Proficiency in Epic electronic medical record system required
  • Experience in diverse surgical cases preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities essential
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt to different surgical specialties and case types
  • Blocks, spinals, and epidurals are not required for this position
