 Wellhart is seeking an Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens position at a clinic in Florida. This 72-day assignment starts on 08/04/2025, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week schedule, typically working three 12-hour shifts Monday through Saturday. The role involves providing anesthesia services for various procedures, with a focus on GI cases (over 50%), as well as Orthopedic, General, Urology, and Cardiology surgeries. The position requires in-house coverage at both the hospital and surgery center, with some call shifts from a hotel. No OB, pediatric, or trauma cases are involved. The ideal candidate should be comfortable using the Epic electronic health record system and be able to manage a diverse range of anesthesia cases.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide anesthesia services for various surgical procedures, with a focus on GI cases

• Manage anesthesia for Orthopedic, General, Urology, and Cardiology surgeries

• Cover in-house shifts at both the hospital and surgery center

• Participate in call shifts from the hotel (not in-house)

• Utilize the Epic electronic health record system

• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals

• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period

• Adhere to all facility and department policies and procedures

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records • Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed
