- Various shift patterns:
• Hospital in-house: 7am-3pm or 7am-7pm
• Hospital call from hotel: 7pm-7am
• Surgery center in-house: 7am-3pm
• Weekend call from hotel: 7am-7am (typically working 7am-3pm or so)
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide anesthesia care for various surgical procedures, including:
• Gastroenterology (over 50% of cases)
• Orthopedics
• General Surgery
• Urology
• Cardiology (specific cardiac experience not required)
- Perform medical direction
- Handle call duties (from hotel, not in-house)
- Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals
- Utilize Epic EMR for patient management and record-keeping
Additional Information:
- Experience in a wide range of surgical anesthesia required
- Comfort with GI procedures essential
- Familiarity with orthopedic, general, urologic, and basic cardiology cases
- Flexibility to work various shift patterns and take call from hotel
- Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
