Job Description

Wellhart is seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Pennsylvania. This 36-day assignment begins on 06/02/2025, at a Multi-Specialty Clinic. There is a primary schedule of Monday to Friday, 6:30a - 3:30p, totaling 20 shifts per month. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with general anesthesiology, hands-on work, and potential in-house/local beeper call. Responsibilities include directing CRNAs and providing hands-on care when necessary, covering all major adult subspecialty care including general, cardiac, OB, and neuro anesthesiology. This role also offers the potential for extension.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30a - 3:30p (9-hour shifts), 20 shifts/month


Job Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Provide general anesthesiology services for a variety of adult subspecialties
  • Direct and supervise CRNAs in their daily activities
  • Perform hands-on anesthesia care when required
  • Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia as needed during procedures
  • Manage post-anesthesia care and recovery
  • Participate in in-house call duties (1-2 times per week)
  • Utilize Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient record management
  • Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures
  • Maintain current Pennsylvania state licensure and required certifications


Additional Information:


  • Must be comfortable with all aspects of general anesthesiology
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying case loads and schedules
  • Experience in cardiac, OB, and neuro anesthesiology preferred
