Physician - Anesthesiologist

Job Description

We are actively seeking an Anesthesiologist for a 13-week locum tenens assignment in Virginia starting Jun 27, 2025 to cover the 6:30am - 4:30pm shift. This role requires providing anesthetic care for procedures such as colonoscopy and upper sigmoid-endoscopy in an outpatient surgery center setting. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who are comfortable working independently and are certified in Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine.

Job Details

• LOA: 13 weeks
• Provider Type Needed: Anesthesiologist
• Schedule: 6:30am - 4:30pm, with cases starting at 7am and running through 3:30pm

Responsibilities and Duties

• Administer anesthetics to patients undergoing colonoscopy and upper sigmoid-endoscopy procedures
• Monitor patient responses to anesthetics and adjust as necessary
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after procedures
• Maintain accurate medical records and document all care provided
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes

Additional Information

• Must hold a valid Virginia medical license
• Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Board certification in Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine is required
• Experience in an outpatient surgery center as a solo provider is preferred
