Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide anesthesia services for cardiac procedures, including CABG, valve surgeries, TAVR, LAAC, maze, and AFIB ablations
• Perform pre-operative assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans for cardiac patients
• Conduct and interpret transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
• Manage anesthesia during 2-5 cardiac cases per week
• Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia as needed during procedures
• Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons and the operating room team
• Manage post-operative pain and recovery for cardiac patients
• Provide anesthesia coverage during 24-hour call periods as scheduled
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using the Epic system
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
Additional Information:
• Must be board-certified in Anesthesiology with cardiac anesthesia experience
• TEE certification required
• Active Washington medical license required
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and 24-hour call periods
