Wellhart is seeking an experienced Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position at a multi-specialty clinic in Florida. This 45-day assignment begins on April 27, 2025, with night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, totaling 15 shifts per month. The role involves providing comprehensive critical care, including performing intubations, central line placements, and arterial line insertions. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with these procedures and able to manage complex critical care patients. This opportunity offers a chance for extension and requires an active Florida license.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide advanced critical care to patients in the intensive care unit 

• Perform intubations, central line placements, and arterial line insertions 

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans 

• Monitor and manage critically ill patients' conditions 

• Interpret diagnostic tests and adjust treatment plans accordingly 

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in the ICU 

• Respond to medical emergencies and code situations 

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records 

• Communicate effectively with patients' families about care plans and prognosis 

• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures 

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the critical care unit • Provide education and support to patients and their families

Additional Information: 

• Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner with Critical Care Medicine experience 

• Active Florida license required 

• Proficiency in critical care procedures, including intubations and line placements 

• Strong clinical decision-making and time management skills 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work night shifts and manage high-stress situations
