We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Critical Care Medicine for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in Florida. This 24-day assignment starts on 05/25/2025, and involves night shift coverage from 7 PM to 7 AM, including weekdays and weekends. The ideal candidate will be proficient in normal critical care procedures and able to independently perform central lines, intubations, and arterial lines. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing high-quality critical care, managing complex patient cases, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive critical care to patients in the ICU 

• Independently perform central lines, intubations, and arterial lines 

• Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans 

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests 

• Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice 

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals 

• Respond to emergencies and manage complex cases 

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Meditech EHR system 

• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols 

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as required

Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Florida 

• Experience with Meditech EHR system preferred 

• Strong clinical skills in critical care procedures 

• Ability to work independently during night shifts 

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment 

• Possibility of assignment extension
