Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide emergency medical care in the ED, addressing a wide range of acute conditions
• Conduct daily rounds on up to 5 inpatients, managing conditions such as pneumonia, CHF, and COPD
• Perform patient assessments, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans
• Manage chronic comorbid conditions in both ED and inpatient settings
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
• Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using the Epic system
• Adapt to varying patient volumes and acuity levels in both ED and inpatient settings
• Provide patient and family education on health conditions and treatment plans
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
Additional Information:
• Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner with Emergency Medicine experience
• Active North Dakota license required
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
