Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Texas starting in early July to cover rotating shifts 6a-6p, 9a-9p, and 6p-6a. Applicants should be comfortable providing urgent and emergency medical care to patients, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and interpreting medical tests including laboratory and imaging studies.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide urgent and emergency medical care to patients
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Interpret medical tests including laboratory and imaging studies
  • Manage basic life support needs and stabilization of patients
  • Work collaboratively with emergency room staff to ensure optimal patient care
  • Utilize Meditech EHR for documentation and management of patient information
  • Adhere to all required certifications and Texas state licensing requirements


Additional Information

  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine required
  • ACLS and BLS certifications are necessary
  • Must hold a valid Texas Physician Assistant license
