Wellhart is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Massachusetts. This 60-day assignment runs from June to October 2025, with potential for extension. The schedule primarily covers 8-hour shifts, focusing on weekends, evenings, and overnights. Responsibilities include managing a diverse range of emergency cases, providing critical care, and ensuring efficient patient flow in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across multiple locations and utilizing the Meditech EMR system.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide emergency medical care to patients at two hospital locations 

• Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of emergency conditions 

• Manage critical care situations and complex cases 

• Collaborate with hospitalists and APPs for patient admissions and care coordination 

• Utilize Meditech EMR system for accurate and timely documentation 

• Supervise and work alongside nursing staff and other healthcare professionals 

• Maintain a high standard of patient care in high-volume emergency departments 

• Adapt to working in multiple locations as required 

• Ensure efficient patient flow and appropriate disposition of patients 

Additional Information: 

• Experience in managing diverse emergency cases required 

• Comfort with high patient volumes  

• Familiarity with Meditech EHR system is beneficial 

• Massachusetts state medical license required 

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overnights 

• Ability to adapt to different hospital environments and teams
