Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide emergency medical care in a Level III Trauma Facility
• Manage a high-volume ED with approximately 20,000 annual patient visits
• Perform general ED procedures, including intubation and ventilation management
• Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of emergency conditions
• Collaborate with APP support and other healthcare professionals
• Handle both emergency and clinic-based patient care
• Conduct appropriate diagnostic tests and interpret results
• Prescribe medications and treatments as needed
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using the T-System EMR
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
• Provide patient and family education on health conditions and treatment plans
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Additional Information:
• Must be board-certified/board-eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Active Maine medical license required
• Experience in high-volume emergency departments preferred
• Comfort with varied shift schedules, including night shifts
• Strong clinical decision-making and time management skills
